About Group Boat Tours Dubrovnik

We're a small, family-run crew who grew up on this coast. Here's who we are, why we keep our groups small, and how we look after you on the water.

Who we are

We’re a small, family-run crew based at Gruz harbour in Dubrovnik, and we grew up on this coast. The Elaphiti islands, the Blue Cave, the hidden coves around Mljet — these aren’t just stops on a map to us, they’re the water we’ve swum in since we were children. When you book with us, you’re dealing directly with the people who run the boat, not a faceless agency reselling somebody else’s seats.

That’s the whole idea behind Group Boat Tours Dubrovnik: a proper local day out at sea, shared with a handful of like-minded travellers, at a price that makes sense.

Why we keep our groups genuinely small

Plenty of “small-group” tours pack thirty or more people onto one deck. We don’t. We cap every shared departure at twelve guests, and we mean it. That’s enough to give the day a friendly, sociable feel, but few enough that everyone gets a spot in the shade, a turn off the swim ladder and a skipper who has time to point out the things you’d never find on your own.

Smaller groups also mean we can slip into the quieter anchorages the bigger boats can’t reach, linger when the swimming is good, and never run the day to a stopwatch. It’s how a boat trip should feel.

Our boats and our safety standards

We look after our boats the way you’d hope a family business would. They’re cleaned and checked before every trip, fuelled and ready, with shaded seating and a swim platform that’s easy to get in and out of. Nothing flash — just comfortable, reliable boats kept in genuinely good order.

Safety is never an afterthought. We carry life jackets in all sizes, including for children, and the snorkelling gear is inspected before each departure so it’s clean and working when you need it. Our skippers watch the forecast closely and will always put your safety first — if conditions turn, we’ll move you to another date or refund you rather than push our luck on the water.

Respect for the sea and the islands

This coast gives us our living, so we treat it with care. We anchor sensibly to protect the seabed, keep our wake down near swimmers and other boats, and we take our rubbish home with us — including yours. The Elaphiti islands and Mljet National Park are special places, and we’d like them to stay that way for the families who come after us.

Honest, friendly service

What you see is what you pay. Our shared tours have fixed per-person prices, and every booking includes your skipper, snorkelling gear, drinking water and all fuel and harbour fees. Lunch, drinks and tips are up to you. There’s free cancellation up to 48 hours before departure, so you can book with confidence even when the holiday plans aren’t quite set.

If you’ve got a question before you book, we’d genuinely rather you asked. Message us on WhatsApp at +385 91 600 1201 or email info@groupboattoursdubrovnik.com and you’ll hear back from someone who actually runs the boats.

Frequently asked questions

What makes Group Boat Tours Dubrovnik different?

We cap every shared tour at 12 guests, so there's room to spread out, time to swim properly and a skipper who actually talks to you. No crowded decks, no rushed stops, no upselling — just a relaxed day on a well-kept boat at a fair, fixed per-person price.

Are you actually locals?

Yes. We're a family-run crew based at Gruz harbour in Dubrovnik who grew up sailing these islands. Our skippers are English-speaking locals who know the quiet coves, the best swimming spots and exactly when the light turns gold for sunset.
