Terms & Conditions
These are the plain-English terms for booking a shared group boat tour with us. No small print designed to catch you out — just what you can expect, and what we ask of you.
By booking a tour with Group Boat Tours Dubrovnik you agree to the terms below. We’ve written them to be fair and easy to read — if anything is unclear, get in touch before you book.
Prices and what’s included
All shared tour prices are quoted in euros (EUR), per person. The price you see when you book is the price you pay — no booking fees or surprise extras at the dock.
Every shared group tour includes your English-speaking local skipper, snorkelling gear, drinking water, and all fuel and harbour fees. Lunch, alcoholic drinks and gratuities are not included. Any national-park entrance fees are confirmed for each tour at the time of booking.
Booking and payment
A booking is confirmed once you’ve completed the reservation and received written confirmation from us by email or WhatsApp. Please check the date, departure time and number of guests are correct, and tell us straight away if anything needs changing. Shared seats are limited to a maximum of 12 guests per boat.
Cancellations and weather
You can cancel a shared tour free of charge up to 48 hours before departure for a full refund. Different terms apply closer to departure and for private charters; the full rules, including weather cancellations, are on our cancellation policy page. In short: if we cancel for weather or safety, you get a full refund or a free move to another date.
Meeting points and punctuality
Tours depart from Gruz harbour or the Old Town Port, as stated on your confirmation. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before departure. We run small, shared boats on a fixed schedule, so we cannot hold a departure for one late group without affecting everyone on board. Missed departures due to late arrival are treated as a no-show.
Safety and the skipper’s authority
Our skippers are experienced local professionals, and their decisions on the day are final. This includes the route, swimming and snorkelling stops, and whether to adjust or cancel a tour for sea conditions or safety. Please follow your skipper’s instructions at all times, especially when boarding and in the water.
Passenger conduct and alcohol
We want everyone on board to have a relaxed, friendly day out. You’re welcome to bring your own snacks and a sensible amount of drink, but excessive alcohol is not permitted. The skipper may refuse boarding to, or return to harbour with, any passenger who is intoxicated or behaving in a way that affects the safety or enjoyment of others, with no refund due.
Children, suitability and health
Children are very welcome and must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. If you’re travelling with infants, anyone with reduced mobility, or anyone with a medical condition, please tell us before you book so we can confirm the tour is suitable. By boarding, you confirm that everyone in your party is fit for a boat trip that may involve some movement, sun and swimming.
Liability and insurance
Our boats and crew carry the insurance required to operate legally in Croatia. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for loss, damage or injury arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, or from a passenger ignoring safety instructions. We strongly recommend your own travel insurance covering activities, cancellation and belongings.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Croatia, and any disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the Croatian courts. Nothing here limits any rights you have under applicable consumer law.
Still have a question? Contact us before you book and we’ll talk it through.
Frequently asked questions
Do I pay per person or for the whole boat?
Shared group tours are priced per person in euros, and you only pay for your own seats. If you'd rather have the boat to yourselves, book a private charter, which is priced for the whole vessel.
What happens if the weather turns bad?
Your safety comes first. If we cancel a departure for weather or unsafe sea conditions, you choose between a full refund or moving to another date at no charge. See our cancellation policy for full details.
