Full-Day Elaphiti Islands Group Boat Tour

A slow, generous day across all three Elaphiti Islands — Koločep, Lopud and Šipan — with plenty of swim stops and a long lunch ashore at a family konoba.

The Full-Day Elaphiti Islands tour is an eight-hour shared boat trip from Dubrovnik that visits all three inhabited Elaphiti islands — Koločep, Lopud and Šipan — with several swim and snorkel stops and a long lunch break ashore on Šipan. Groups are capped at 12 guests, departures run daily from April to October, and the price is fixed per person.

A full day, three islands, no rush

If the half-day out leaves you wanting more sea and more time in the water, this is the trip to book. You spend a relaxed eight hours working your way across all three inhabited Elaphiti islands — Koločep, Lopud and Šipan — with swim stops in between and a long lunch ashore in the middle of the day. The pace is deliberately slow: this is a day to settle into, not a checklist to tick off.

We leave the harbour mid-morning and run the short hop to Koločep, the closest island, for the first swim of the day in a sheltered cove. From there it is a gentle cruise on to Lopud, where the boat anchors and you can walk across the car-free island to Šunj — a rare stretch of soft sand with shallow, warm water that is ideal for children and anyone who prefers wading in to diving.

Lunch and a wander on Šipan

By early afternoon we tie up on Šipan, the largest and quietest of the three. This is the long lunch stop: a family konoba near the harbour does simple Dalmatian cooking — grilled fish, local wine, salads from the garden — and lunch is optional, so you order and pay only for what you fancy. There is time to stroll the sleepy village, find some shade, and let the day breathe before we head back out.

Because we cap every departure at twelve guests, the boat never feels crowded. There is always a good seat, shade when you want it and a quick turn on the swim ladder. Your skipper is a local who knows which coves are calmest on the day’s wind, so the route flexes to give you the best water.

How it compares to the half-day

This trip is the unhurried sibling of our half-day Blue Cave & Elaphiti tour, which focuses on the Blue Cave and has you back in Dubrovnik for a late lunch. Choose the full day when you want more swimming, the lunch stop on Šipan and time to actually set foot on the islands rather than just cruising past them. If you would like the back-story on each island before you go, our Elaphiti Islands guide is a good read.

What to bring

Pack light but sensibly: swimwear under your clothes, a towel, reef-safe sun cream, a hat and sunglasses, and shoes you can walk in on Lopud and Šipan. We provide snorkelling gear, drinking water and shade; you bring some cash or a card for lunch and any extra drinks. Most guests are perfectly comfortable, but if you are prone to seasickness on long days, take something before you board.

Where to meet and how to book

Departures are from Gruž harbour or the Old Town Port, both an easy reach from the cruise terminal, the Old Town and the Lapad hotels. Full directions on parking and the meeting point are on our boat tours from Gruž harbour page, and you’ll get an exact pin with your confirmation.

Frequently asked questions

How is the full-day tour different from the half-day?

The full-day trip is slower and visits all three Elaphiti islands — Koločep, Lopud and Šipan — with more swim stops and a proper lunch break ashore. The shorter [half-day Blue Cave & Elaphiti tour](/blue-cave-elaphiti-islands-boat-tour/) focuses on the Blue Cave and gets you back for a late lunch in Dubrovnik.

Is lunch included on the full-day Elaphiti tour?

No. Lunch is optional and paid at a family konoba on Šipan, so you choose what you eat and how much you spend. We carry drinking water on board; bring some cash or a card for the restaurant and any extra drinks.

How much time do we get in the water?

Plenty. With a full eight hours we make three or four swim and snorkel stops, and you get real time at each one rather than a rushed few minutes. Free masks, fins and pool noodles are on board for all ages.

Where does the full-day tour depart from?

Departures are from Gruž harbour or the Old Town Port in Dubrovnik. You'll get the exact meeting point and a what3words pin with your confirmation — both are easy to reach from the cruise terminal, the Old Town and the Lapad hotels.
